My name is Daisy... when I arrived at ICOC I was barely able to walk and eating would be almost impossible since my teeth were falling out and I had so much pain in my mouth and body I was 500-lbs under weight and just feeling like nobody loved me. I no longer wanted to fight for myself but my family at ICOC pushed to get me better the vets truly didn’t think after months and months of trying to get me more comfortable that I would survive mostly at that point because I was thrown away like trash and brought to a slaughtering pen. When I was pulled out of the slaughtering pen and brought to ICOC they fought for me they tried to show me that I could be loved once again.
Photo shows how skinny Daisy was on arrival at ICOC.
My family at ICOC slept in my stall with me reassuring not to give up and showing me the love they had for me.
One day I woke up in the morning with my family by my side and I decided I was going to push really hard to get better I started to eat and it didn’t hurt so bad since my teeth had been taken care of by my Veterinarian. Slowly I gained strength and weight back and now I reside at ICOC with my loving family I may still have some residual medical problems but I know I will be forever cared for.
